Daniel Wisnowski

My name is Daniel Wisnowski. I have lived in Carrboro, North Carolina for most of my life. I went to college at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina with a major in Environmental Biology with a concentration in Sustainable Development. Soon after college I started my working career at a biodiesel plant with a company called Piedmont Biofuels. Working here I now have the knowledge and understanding of biodiesel and being with a small company to help out a community. After this I worked for Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge in the outer banks of North Carolina. Through this job I have learned the inner workings of a refuge by restoring the environment and helping the wildlife. From living on the east coast all of my life I have enjoyed the move out west and I am privileged to be working with NCC. After this experience I have an interested to find work with environmental research or to get my master’s in wildlife biology.
